Starting a Thirty Day Challenge

Before Picture

OK, I’m not usually this brutally honest in my photographic appearances before you. But given how much better these products have been making me feel without any kind of system, I’m going to take on the 30 day challenge, and I had to provide some “before” pictures. This is where I’m starting from. Tomorrow is Day 1.

I will be using the Isagenix Kosher Isalean Shakes to replace some of my food (up till now I’ve been using them purely to supplement), and will also use their Cleanse For Life drink as a nutritional support. I will be using this guide to set up my schedule. You’ll notice that I don’t have everything in the 30-day pack, but it’s probably close enough, given that I don’t have huge amounts of weight to lose. I do have some of the snacks as part of my kosher pack if I have the need.

I’m mostly aiming at improving my health and nutrition here. If you want to come along on this ride with me, I’d appreciate your support!

Just a note – I’m not going with the 400 calorie recommendation, and I’m certainly not interested in the high-carb, low-fat eating suggestions. I’ll be eating fruit, vegetables, full-fat cheese and SCD yoghurt (if I continue to tolerate them well), nuts and oily fish, just like I always do, and I’ll eat as much of them as I feel I need. Thank G-d cheesecake season is over.

Anyway, wish me luck! I don’t think I’ll be posting every day on this (that would be too boring for everybody involved), but I plan to update on a regular basis. Stay tuned!

Excellent questions, Marci! I checked and I actually don’t have their snacks for the cleanse days – which are described here for anyone who doesn’t keep kosher:

The snacks that I do have are part of this set:

They are indeed mostly high-carb, so I’ll be going easy on them.

I haven’t decided what I’m doing with regards to fat on the cleanse days. I may eat nuts instead of their fat-free wafers.

Thanks for your questions, that’s exactly what I need! <3

Good luck, I will be following with interest. But please be careful What do the snacks look like? Do you eat regular food on cleanse days? Will you only have one meal per day on the shake days? Is there enough fat in the plan?
